The match between Pakistan and USA was played today at the Sinhalese Sports Club, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The USA won the toss and decided to bowl first. From Pakistan’s side, Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan opened the innings, while Saurabh Netravalkar started the bowling for USA.
Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan built a 54-run partnership in 5 overs, after which Saim Ayub got caught out for 19 runs off Van Schalkwyk’s bowling. Then Salman Ali Agha came in but was also out for 1 run in the same over. Next came Babar Azam, and he along with Sahibzada Farhan made a 50+ run partnership.
Babar Azam scored 46 runs before getting caught out off Mohsin’s bowling.
After that, Mohammad Nawaz joined Sahibzada Farhan, but Farhan got out for 73 runs, caught by Harmeet Singh. Then Shadab Khan came in and played an attacking innings, scoring 30 runs off 12 balls, before being caught out by Van Schalkwyk. Later, Faheem Ashraf scored just 1 run, and both Usman Khan and Mohammad Nawaz made 5 runs each before getting out.
Finally, Shaheen Shah Afridi came in while Usman Khan got run out for 0. Pakistan gave USA a target of 191 runs.
For the USA, openers Gous and Shayan started well against Shaheen Shah Afridi, Pakistan’s opening bowler. Gous was caught by Salman Ali Agha, followed by Monank Patel, who got out for 3 runs off Shadab Khan’s bowling. Shayan played well but was dismissed for 49 runs.
After that, Milind came in but soon got out, followed by Shubham, who batted well.
Then Sanjay got out for 0 runs, Harmeet Singh made 6 runs, and Mohsin also got out for 0. USA were bowled out short of the target, and Pakistan won the match by 32 runs.
